BREAKING. Sorry girls. E.tv's kicking 4Play off for soccer.
You're reading it here first.
E.tv brand-new local drama 4Play just started . . .now it's off. And blame it on Beckham. Kinda. In a crazy, unbelievable and shortsighted scheduling move, e.tv is disrupting its own line-up and 4Play by starting soccer broadcasts just as the show started. Ask any TV scheduler whether you're aiding or hampering a new show in terms of it finding, developing and growing an audience and following. Why then rather not keep 4Play off the air until the show can be broadcast uninterrupted?
Here is what e.tv is now going to do: 4Play which started on 2 February has now disappeared. A new episode will only be going out on 2 March again, and after that, almost a month later on 23 March. Insane. E.tv has now scheduled UEFA games which has pushed 4Play out of the timeslot.
4Play will henceforth play out the rest of it's 13 episodes on 2 and 23 March, 13 April and the remainder during May and June.
