BREAKING. BBC Entertainment turns funny in April.
You're reading it here first.
I just heard from BBC Entertainment (DStv 120) that starts an on-air ''Comedy Festival'' from 19 April until 14 May on the Brit-import TV channel.
Viewers are promised a comedy programming block over this period of time with some of the best-liked established comedy acts from Britain, as well as some of the best up and coming comedians.
''Everyone likes a laugh and BBC Entertainment bring you a stand-up version packed full of gut-busting giggles, cynical silliness and killer-one-liners,'' says John Taite, vice president of programming for the Middle East and Africa region.
Some of the names viewers will see include Russell Howard, Michael McIntyre, Jack Dee, Lee Evans, Sean Lock, Alan Carr, Dara O'Briain and Britain's comedy queen Jo Brand.
