4th South African Film and Television Awards (Safta) winners.
The 4th Saftas (South African Film and Television Awards) was held on Saturday night at the Pretoria State theatre. The hours long boring broadcast on SABC2 was marred by a horrible host in the form of John Vlismas. The 4th Safta awards produced by Clive Morris Productions were plagued by obvious production and sound problems, as well as a restless crowd and empty red seats.
The Saftas did however dish out a lot of love for Isidingo and Generations. 7de Laan went home as the ''best soapie'' after it got the most SMS viewer votes and veteran writer, director and actor John Kani lashed out with a scathing rebuke at the local TV and film industry.
