National Geographic embarks on a space odyssey.

The National Geographic Channel (DStv 260) will film the process of putting together the first commercial space flight as it takes shape from now over the course of the next two years for a new documentary series.

The documentary series called Virgin Galactic will consist out of 4 episodes compiled from footage that the National Geographic channel will shoot as it documents the commercial space flight project of Sir Richard Branson and the aeronautical engineer Burt Rutan.
