Programming note: eNews Channel coverage of the live draw of the Fifa World Cup + News Night extended this evening.


You're reading it here first. The eNews Channel (DStv 403) is live today from Cape Town's Table Bay hotel to cover the live draw of the Fifa World Cup soccer tournament.

The channel has lined-up guest ranging from Cape Town mayor Dan Plato, to the captain of Banyana Banyana, and several other local soccer greats. Anchors involved are Lance Witten, Gershawn Coetzee and Andrew Barnes.

The eNews Channel will also be dipping LIVE into the festivities at the Long Street Fan Fest throughout the day, with 15 000 people expected. Anchors involved with this coverage are Lester Kiewit and Belinda Moses.

The eNews Channel will also be on the red carpet where Charlize Theron are expected to appear, along with David Beckham. Robin Adams will do red carpet duty here.

The eNews Channel is NOT ALLOWED IN THE VENUE (SABc1 has the esclusive broadcasting rights and shows it from 18:30 for 90 minutes) BUT draw results will be updated in real time in News Night in the studio accompanied by live analysis by some of the best in the business.

NB! News Night will also run until 22:00 tonight, extended by an additional hour of live news coverage. News Night will cross to different locations during the eNews Channel's prime time news show of the day.
