BREAKING. ''It was not an illustrious year,'' says SABC.

You're reading it here first.

''It will take time, leadership and dedication to turn around the organisation. There are no quick fixes for a crisis of this magnitude,'' says SABC interim chairperson Irene Charnley in the SABC's latest financial year report.

The SABC made a massive loss of R910 million for the financial year ending on March 2009.

''Despite the austerity measures announced in March of this year aimed at curbing costs, the SABC's liquidity challenges continued,'' says Irene Charnley.
