BREAKING. M-Net Series dumps The Bachelor and cancels the new season A DAY before it's supposed to start. I can tell you why. . .

You're reading it here first. BIG SHOCKER! M-Net Series just pulled The 11th season of The Bachelor with Brad Womack OFF THE SCHEDULE. The Bachelor was supposed to start tomorrow night at 20:00.

M-Net is scared for viewer revolt the likes of which South Africa hasn't seen but is now starting to see when SABC3 MESSED UP the broadcast of Survivor: China and gave the ending away.

M-Net Series has already shown The Bachelorette 4. In it DeAnne Pappas is The Bachelorette - but she first appears in this 11th season of The Bachelor and then gets rejected. So viewers will already KNOW that that she makes it as one of the last two and then DON'T get a rose.

M-Net Series, of course SHOWING TELEVISION but without anybody there seemingly WATCHING TELEVISION, didn't know or realize this until JUST NOW A DAY BEFORE the broadcast.

So soon is the preemption, the channel doesn't even have anything to replace the TWO HOUR PREMIERE block with and will now throw in two episodes of Top Chef.

Season 12 of The Bachelor will now start next Friday, 18 September.

I just got word from the M-Net Series.
''The Bachelor has such loyal and a dedicated audience following the storyline from episode to episode that it doesn't make sense to screen the series while viewers know what the outcome will be,'' says Khosi Khanyile, M-Net Series channel manager.

Khosi blame the suppliers (and not broadcasters who don't keep up with when shows come out and SHOW them in the same order and close to the same time) and says ''the series suppliers didn't inform the channel of the links between the two series.

Apparently, also nobody there can read either.

''Consequently M-Net Series broadcast The Bachelor and The Bachelorette in the order bought from the distributors, not knowing that specific content would lead to incorrect scheduling. The remainder of the seasons of the two series have been cross-referenced to ensure that such a scheduling mishap won't happen again.''

HA HA: Now who watches the various different seasons of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis BOTH currently showing on M-Net Action? THE EXACT SAME THING IS HAPPENING THERE regarding the storyline but once again M-Net Action, sitting right next to M-Net Series in the M-Net building isn't watching their own stuff.

HA HA: Die-hard fans will be able to catch the 11th season of The Bachelor in December when M-Net Series plans to burn it off as a quick omnibus over the holiday season.
