The SABC didn't bother to make any announcement about it but the beloved and veteran SABC News TV anchor Noxolo Grootboom returned to anchor duty on South African TV screens on Tuesday to help with on-air news coverage after the death of the"Mother of the Nation" Winnie Madikizela-Mandela on Monday.

Noxolo Grootboom who has since transitioned to become one of the SABC News editors at the SABC's Auckland Park headquarters rose to fame with her SABC TV news Xhosa bulletin sign-off closer, "Ndinithanda nonke emakhaya" that can loosely be translated as "I love you all at home".

Now Noxolo Grootboom is back on television and will also help out with Winnie Madikizela-Mandela's funeral broadcast that will be shown on the SABC on 14 April.
