Zee World on DStv expands to 5 hours of new programming on weekdays; adds new drama series Krishi and King of Hearts and cooking shows.


Zee World (Dstv 166) is adding a new hour of programming per day with the channel saying its increasing its daily content to 5 hours, excluding food shows.

The new 5th hour now comprises of the series Krishi, broadcast on weekdays from 22:00 to 23:00.

Krishi is the story of a young woman who rises from modest beginnings to a successful career with her parents making sacrifices so that Krishi Raj can get the education she needs to achieve her life goal.

The Urban Cook starts on 11 July at 17:00 on Zee World, presented by Chef Saby, preparing recipes designed for a busy lifestyle. He shows viewers how to handle new age kitchen equipment and stock up your house and fridge for some sumptuous one pot meals.

The Great Indian Kitchen starts on 19 July at 17:30 on Zee World with chef Ranveer Brar. The Great Indian Kitchen is an epic culinary journey across the seven Indian states, meeting a variety of traditional chefs and recipes that have been carried across generations.

The show highlights many hidden facets of Indian cuisine viewers are yet to discover.

King of Hearts starts on Zee World on 29 July at 21:00 revolving around Siddarth, a hotelier who tries to mend the relationship between his wife Roshni and mother-in-law Durga Devi.
