Top Billing presenter Bonang Matheba on Simba Mhere: 'Death has robbed me of a brother, a colleague, a pillar and a friend'.

"Death has robbed me of a brother."

Bonang Matheba, Top Billing presenter is part of the TV family mourning the loss of friend and co-presenter Simba Mhere (26).

Simba Mhere died on impact together with his friend Kady-Shay O'Bryan early on Saturday morning when a car crashed into the driver's side of the vehicle Simba Mhere was driving on William Nicol Road near the N1.

"I am still confused and trying to make sense about everything," Bonang Matheba tells TV with Thinus.

"No matter how many times you experience the horror that is death, one can never get used to it."

"Death has robbed me of a brother, a colleague, a pillar and a friend," says Bonang Matheba.

"An angel has returned home, leaving us all devastated and confused, but he will always live amongst us, in our hearts. It is still surreal, all dreamy and even shooting the Top Billing tribute link for this Thursday didn't help.

"I still can't believe you are gone Big Guy. I will cherish your memory till we meet again".

Top Billing presenter Jonathan Boynton-Lee is set to talk for the first time publicly about Simba Mhere on television on Thursday morning on SABC3's Expresso.

Following Thursday afternoon's memorialservice for Simba Mhere at the Rhema Bible Church in Randburg at 15:00, viewers will be able to tune in for a special tribute episode of Top Billing on Thursday evening at 20:30 on SABC3.
