Following the death of Nelson Mandela and rolling news coverage of his death on television, I'm hearing from sources and can break the news that South African viewers can get ready for a special Nelson Mandela events channel on MultiChoice's DStv.

I'm also told by sources that M-Net will bring South African viewers a special Carte Blanche before Sunday's Carte Blanche on the pay-TV broadcaster.

Sunday's upcoming episode of Carte Blanche on M-Net is also pre-empting the planned line-up I'm told, and will also be Nelson Mandela centred.

I've also reached out late on Thursday night to M-Net, the SABC as well as SABC1, SABC2 and SABC3 separately, CNN International, eNCA and e.tv regarding programming changes, specials and special programming regarding Nelson Mandela and Nelson Mandela related coverage.

I also reached out to MultiChoice and On Digital Media (ODM) late on Thursday night and will bring programming changes and coverage plans as it becomes available.
