The failed experiment is over and I can exclusively break the news that SABC3's Top Billing is moving once again - this time from its failed Tuesday nigh timeslot on SABC3 where it didn't lift the ratings back yet again to Thursdays from April.
Top Billing's latest new schedule and timeslot move on SABC3 is part of another massive rejigged SABC3 schedule which will be coming into effect from April.
As part of the major new SABC3 schedule changes starting from 1 April (no April's Fools joke) Top Billing is moving again as SABC3's executives seems unsure of where exactly it wants the still popular Top Billing to be and which last year added Jonathan Boyton-Lee as well as Bonang Matheba to the revolving presenters roster.
Neither SABC3 nor Tswelopele Productions which has been producing the longrunning weekly magazine show has so far said anything about the impending move which will see viewers having to find the longrunning magazine show from April on a new night and timeslot yet again.
In April 2011 - just two years ago - SABC3 moved Top Billing, which has been everywhere over the schedule, from Thursdays to Tuesdays. In October 2011 SABC3 moved Top Billing to a later timeslot on Tuesdays.
Now I can reveal that Top Billing is moving back from Tuesdays to Thursday and not to 19:30 where it used to be when it was on Thursdays on SABC3, but to 20:30 from Thursday 4 April.
It marks yet another stunning timeslot change for the glamorous magazine show of Tswelopele Productions which has endured almost every timeslot on every weekday across SABC2 and then SABC3 the past 20 years.
