BBC World News to debut a brand-new title sequence, graphics, music and countdown from Monday when the news channel switches studios.


BBC World News (DStv 400 / TopTV 400) will debut a brand-new title sequence, graphics, music and more when the BBC's 24-hour international news channel switches to broadcasting from its brand-new studios in Broadcasting House this coming Monday with new presenters, shows and a new programming line-up.

Peter Horrocks, the director of BBC Global News, told BBC World News staffers in an email that BBC World News will look completely news and refreshed.

"Every aspect of how the channel is put together has been reviewed: there's a new schedule, new title sequences, new junctions, refreshed music and a new top-of-the-hour countdown showcasing how presenters and correspondents 'live the story' ," he wrote.

"There will be changes to journalism with significant investments in newsgathering and production. The channel will truly be 'the World's Newsroom' ".
