Jeremy Maggs is anchoring News Night on the eNews Channel (DStv 403) with no new female co-host stepping in ... for now.
TV with Thinus broke the news back in May that Nikiwe Bikitsha is jettisoning the show as co-anchor besides Jeremy Maggs from August for overseas studies.
She's the second woman in four years leaving Jeremy Maggs high and dry in the co-anchor chair at the 24 hour news channel's daily flagship news show News Night. His first co-host Redi Thlabi (then Redi Direko) left him and News Night in May 2009 citing work fatigue.
Two weeks in, and Jeremy Maggs is going it alone. Asked whether Jeremy Maggs will be getting a new co-anchor on News Night, whether it will again be a female co-host, and when that would happen, the eNews Channel tells me only that "no one has been confirmed yet".
