Nikiwe Bikitsha is leaving the flagship primetime news show News Night on the eNews Channel (DStv 403) - making her the second female co-anchor in years to ditch Jeremy Maggs and the channel's main news broadcast.
Nikiwe Bikitsha was awarded the Hubert Humphrey's Fellowship. As a result she will take special leave from August to take part in the programme in the United States. It means that Nikiwe Bikitsha will be gone from News Night from August.
Nikiwe Bikitsha took over as the replacement of Redi Direko. Redi Direko left News Night in May 2009 citing work fatigue. It's not clear yet who Jeremy Maggs' third female co-anchor in five years will be, or whether Jeremy Maggs will continue as the sole anchor of News Night.
