BREAKING. Comedy Central in America announce a broad range of new shows for 2012; strong focus on new, original stand-up comedy.
Comedy Central (DStv 122) in America, a a localised version of the channel that just started in Africa and South Africa on MultiChoice's DStv just announced a range of new upcoming programming for 2012 that the channel wil produce (note: some of these shows might not make it to broadcast; some might be cancelled) and which will over time filter down and through to Comedy Central in South Africa.
Which of these new shows will make the Comedy Central schedule in South Africa (and when) is not determined yet since American broadcast dates have not yet been set either

Along with the series development, Comedy Central is focusing on its stand-up offerings with new, originally-produced, one-hour specials from Todd Barry, Matt Braunger, Hannibal Buress, Jo Koy, John Mulaney, JB Smoove, Paul F. Tompkins, a new stand-up series from Russell Simmons titled Russell Simmons Presents The Ruckus, as well as John Oliver's New York Stand Up Show, Comedy Central says in a press release.
@Rob Delaney is a variety-comedy show bringing the world of Twitter to life through the point-of-view of comedian and twitter extraordinaire, Rob Deleney. Delaney presents video and talks to remote guests as the show acts as a living, scrolling Twitter feed.
Braunger is a single-camera comedy based loosely on the life of man-child comedian, Matt Braunger. By day, Braunger works as a closed-captioner, transcribing TV shows for the deaf. By night, he tries to make-up for the short-comings of his job by living the most fulfilling night-life possible with his gnome-like roommate, played by comic/actor Kyle Kinane.
Eugene! is a new planned sketch show in the form of a television network from the absurd point-of-view of comedian, Eugene Mirman.
Gregory Brothers is an ensemble comedy featuring the up-and-coming music group trying to make it in the world of viral videos. My Mans follows the adventures of two best friends, one who is constantly getting into trouble, and the other who is always bailing him out. Offering a unique twist on sketch comedy, this weekly narrative weaves in and out of stand-alone sketches.
Nathan for You sees the Canadian writer-comedian Nathan Fielder using his finance degree and life experiences to help struggling businesses each week.

Robots is an animated show pits a group of household electronics against their owner, Jeff. The robots plot daily to take over the world. In The Burn Jeff Ross and his friends roast the week's hot topics and go into the field to burn public figures and events. Time Trumpet is a satirical look at pop culture and current events, set 30 years in the future.
TripTank is a collection of animated shorts. There is also untitled projects for Amy Schumer and Anthony Jeselnik as well as an untitled Cyanide and Happiness project in which the creators of the Cyanide and Happiness web comics and shorts does a half-hour animated show featuring the twisted humor of a world populated by glorified stick figures.
Comedy Central also announced an untitled Wyatt Cenac project.
