BREAKING. The skies are falling: Falling Skies starting 4 July on Fox Entertainment in South Africa, will launch in 75 countries worldwide.
This is going to be the biggest event since well, The Event on M-Net: The upcoming highly-anticipated Steven Spielberg drama series Falling Skies about an alien invasion on Earth will be launching in more than 75 countries - including of course, South Africa - at the same time.
I broke the news RIGHT HERE early last month that Falling Skies will be starting on Monday 4 July at 20:15 on Fox Entertainment (TopTV 180) for a first season of 10 episodes. Turner Broadcasting System International just announced that South Africa will be one of more than 75 countries that will be seeing Falling Skies simultaneously including Germany, Brazil, Mexico, Spain, Canada, South Korea and Britain.
Falling Skies with Noah Wyle who leads a group of humans to fight back while he's searching for his younger son who's been kidnapped and ... ''altered'', starts on 19 June in America on the TNT channel after which the show will have an almost immediate roll-out globally with South Africa just 3 episodes behind America. The show is produced by Dreamworks Television.
''The launch of Falling Skies promises to be a global television event,'' says Steve Koonin, president of Turner Entertainment Networks. ''We're excited that people around the world will be able to experience this great new series.''
