BREAKING. BBC World News planning massive coverage and live broadcast of Prince William's royal wedding on 29 April.


BBC World News (TopTV 400 / DStv 400) just announced massive television coverage for the upcoming royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton on 29 April that will kick-off with a 100 day countdown to the wedding and Mishal Husain as the anchor for BBC World News' international coverage of the wedding. The wedding will take place at 13:00 South African time on that day.

According to BBC World News Misal Husain will be leading coverage on the day, alongside a range of presenters from the BBC's international television services. ''BBC World News will be covering the entire wedding live. A full schedule of special programming, to be broadcast in the build up to the Royal Wedding, will be announced shortly,'' says BBC World News.

''I'm thrilled to be anchoring the day's coverage and I hope we can bring the Royal Wedding to life for our audiences around the world,'' says Misal Husain. ''We'll not only offer live coverage and commentary of the event, we'll also bring a uniquely international perspective to the day, looking at how audiences around the world are reacting to events in London. We'll be asking for their views on marriage, wedding ceremonies, monarchies and much more."

BBC World News America on BBC World News will mark the 100 day countdown with 3 special reports examining the enduring fascination with Britain's royal family. These special report will be shown from Wednesday, 19 January to 21 January.
