EXCLUSIVE FIRST LOOK! The set of SABC3's new morning weekday show, Expresso, revealed.

You're seeing it here first.

I'm first to exclusively reveal the dynamic new TV set of SABC3's brand-new morning show Expresso, with your very first glimpse of the how it all will look just hours before Expresso will start later today at 05:30 on SABC3 as the channel's new breakfast show on weekdays.

I did the first exclusive Expresso set visit yesterday where I had some fun with the new Expresso presenters (click HERE) and now I can show you the swanky set at the top of The Equinox Building where it will all be happening.

The major new TV production done from Sea Point in Cape Town for SABC3 by Tswelopele Productions - already responsible for Top Billing (SABC3), Pasella (SABC2) and No Reservations (SABC3) - sports an open plan, high-end and multi use, indoor- and exterior use, roof terrace set modeled on American breakfast shows like NBC's Today Show.

The Expresso presenters like Liezel van der Westhuizen, Katlego Maboyi and Ewan Strydom would be able to move seamlessly between different segments. On the set designed and furnished by The Fold Architecture in Cape Town, the presenters can move from the lounge area where interviews, traffic and weather reports will happen, to the state-of-the-art kitchen for recipes and cooking segments, to a live performance area with a grand piano, a gym, or even the outdoor area.

''This doesn't look like Morning Live, does it?'' quipped an SABC3 Expresso on set insider with a wry smile and who works behind the scenes, when I visited the set of the new morning show that debuts at 05:30 today on SABC3.

The outdoor terrace area on the roof of The Equinox Building offers an unobscured view of Sea Point and the beautiful Atlantic seaboard.

All of the items comprising the Expresso set dressing - from the wooden clock on the wall to the white rabbits on the coffee table - that was done by The Fold Architecture in Cape Town, have personal significance and a real story behind it.

Here you can see the massive touch screen video wall on the left of the Expresso set's lounge area where Kiera will be doing the traffic reports from and where the weather reports will happen.

Adjacent to the Expresso lounge area is the gleaming state of the art, open plan kitchen area with galvanised steel counter tops and a minimalist clean-cut design. Counter top space is maximised for the presenters to have fun and contain everything from cooking utentils and ingredients.

Beyond the kitchen area and the exit/entrance to the roof top terrace, is this open performance area with a beautifully tiled monochromatic mosaic wall. A grand piano resides here but can be moved and just beyond it is the gym area enclosed by frosted glass (not finished yet).

Expresso, weekdays, SABC3, 05:30 - 07:30 (starts Monday, October 4)
