The talk show host just made the announcement in the stunning 25th and final season premiere of The Oprah Winfrey Show - her ''farewell'' season. I told you RIGHT HERE yesterday that the queen of talk was planning ''one of the biggest surprises in Oprah Show history'' for today's premiere of her final season. The audience of 300 lept to their feet and started screaming.
They will all be joining Oprah Winfrey on an all-expenses paid eight day trip to the land down under and an ''Oz-some'' adventure. ''I started to think about where would I most want to go,'' she said. ''Maybe I should take all of you with me to the other side of the world…We're going to Australia! We are going to Australia! You and you and you and you, are going to Australia!"
Of course John Travolta was on hand . . . to drive a Quantas plane onto the Oprah stage. Cue bright lights, falling confetti and screeeeaming Oprah Show audience members shrieking with delight. Paul Simon was on hand as well to sing a new version of the Oprah 10th anniversary theme song - the year The Oprah Winfrey Show started in South Africa for the first time - that he specially composed for her 15 years ago.
