BREAKING. A MASSIVE worldwide EVENT is coming to M-Net that you simply don't want to miss!
You're reading it here first.
A massive, worldwide Event is coming to M-Net. No. Not Tuesday's Results Show of Idols at 19:00. Something. Even. Bigger!
I can exclusively spill the news that M-Net - in the pay broadcaster's classic style of getting the best big buzz, best shows first - has secured the broadcasting rights of the new must-see drama The Event! M-Net will debut The Event (which looks utterly fantastic by the way!) on Wednesday, September 29. The pay channel is making The Event which is an action fuelled conspiracy thriller, a truly worldwide event. Get this: M-Net will be showing The Event a mere 9 days after it starts in America.
The Event - of which I've seen several minutes and which makes for riveting television - is part 24, part Lost, part Heroes, part FlashForward, part Fringe, part The X-Files and looks brilliant. Jason Ritter is Sean Walker who's girlfriend disappears as if she never existed. The American president played by Blair Underwood comes under attack by mysterious forces. There's a massive cover-up, so huge, that it shapes the very core of mankind. Oooh!
The stylized title of this hotter than hot brand-new show is The Evɘnt with the one ''e'' inverted which is a little clue about what is going on. The producers also promised more answers immediately. Right from the second episode of The Event viewers will get more information as to how everything fits together. Mysteries won't be dragged out for as long as was the case with Heroes, FlashForward and other highly serialized shows of this nature.
