Unplugged Joy of Jazz produced by Rapid Blue Productions for e.tv will be shot on a rooftop in downtown Johannesburg and feature some of South Africa's jazz musicians as well as international talent. There will be 10 episodes.
In the show Bob Mabena will be interviewing jazz artists and hopefully reveal more about their personal lives. Every episode is to end with unplugged live performances from the various artists before a live studio audience doing three of their favourite songs. ''Unplugged Joy of Jazz brings great jazz artists right into the homes of fans,'' says Lynn Gaines, e.tv manager of local productions.
