On Thursday evening at 19:00 M-Net (DStv 101) held special, exclusive public viewing events in Cape Town and Johannesburg for the press and competition winners to watch the debut episode of The Bachelor South Africa on big screens.

The outdoor viewing on a big screen in Cape Town took place on the sports field of Camps Bay High School in Camps Bay, where guests were treated to picnic blankets, picnic bags stuffed with snacks, a bottle of wine, as well as additional stations for further cooldrinks, popcorn, candy floss, and more wine.

Rose petals were everywhere.

Guests were also given one of the highly sought-after and hard to come by Lee Thompson 2019 The Bachelor SA calendars.

Guests watched as bachelor Lee Thompson got introduced to the 24 women in The Bachelor SA who will be vying for his attention until the final episode on 9 May, out of which he eliminated 3 by the end of the first, special 90-minute episode.

At the start, at 19:00 - since it was Cape Town in late-summer - although it was evening, everything was still as bright and warm and looking and feeling like it's a summer afternoon.

At the end of the episode, the former The Voice SA contestant, Fatman, entertained the crowd with a few songs.

M-Net's whole event was absolutely beautiful.
