Always in her sister's shadow: E! labels The Good Place actress Jameela Jamil in its 76th Golden Globe Awards red carpet coverage as 'Kamilah Al-Jamil' - the name of her character's fictional sister.

She remains in her sister's shadow even at E! Entertainment's (DStv 124) red carpet coverage of the 76th Golden Globe Awards where E! labelled The Good Place actress Jameela Jamil as "Kamilah Al-Jamil" - not her real name or even her TV character's name but that of her character's fictional sister played by Rebecca Hazelwood.

Social media lit up over E!'s awkward mistake during its Live from the Red Carpet: 2019 Golden Globes coverage over misidentifying the actress in its bottom-third chyron for The Good Place seen on M-Net (DStv 101).

Viewers and fans of The Good Place know that the poor Tahani spent her whole life in the shadow of her famous, superstar younger sister Kamilah who constantly outshined her - something that directly led to her death since a statue of her sister crushed her while she tried to knock it down.

Netflix quickly chimed in and offered a billion dollars to the E! staffer who made the mistake, saying "Give #TheGoodPlace fan who works at E! one billion dollars for this savage insult on a shot of Jameela Jamil that would ENRAGE Tahani".

After a while E! admitted to its mistake in its broadcast coverage, with E! reporter Nina Parker who apologised on-air, saying "Jameela Jamil, we know your name, girl... It's live, it happens!"

The Good Place also responded on social media, saying "TAHAHI FOUND DEAD".

Jameela Jamil eventually responded on Twitter, saying: "This is legit the funniest thing I have ever seen. What a joyous mistake. Tahani would DIE! Hands down the greatest of red carpet jokes from whoever did this. It's made my night."
