Disney commissions new live-action comedy series, Gabby Duran & the Unsittables, about a teenage girl babysitting extraterrestrial kids.
Gabby Duran & the Unsittables will star Kylie Cantrall as Gabby Duran, with production taking place in Vancouver.
Gabby Duran & the Unsittables will revolve around Gabby who constantly feels like she's living in the shadows of her uber-polished, successful mother and smart younger sister.
She finally finds her moment to shine when she inadvertently lands an out-of-this-world job to babysit an unruly group of very important extraterrestrial children who are hiding out on Earth with their families, disguised as everyday kids.
Gabby steps up to the challenge to protect these youngsters and their secret identities and to prove that she's the best babysitter in the galaxy.
Maxwell Acee Donovan is Gabby's best friend Wesley. Coco Christo is Gabby's overachieving little sister Olivia and Nathan Lovejoy is Principal Swift. Valery Ortiz is Gabby's caring and career-driven mom Dina.
"We can't wait to introduce Disney Channel viewers to Kylie Cantrall who brings our courageous hero Gabby Duran to life," says Dina Hillier, vice president for original programming at Disney Channels Worldwide.
"Following Gabby on her babysitting adventures will show kids that anyone, when given the chance, can achieve greatness."
Gabby Duran & the Unsittables is a production of Gabby Productions, Ltd., a subsidiary of Omnifilm Entertainment.
