Ainsley Earheardt replacing Elisabeth Hasselbeck on FOX News' Fox & Friends as the new co-host from the end of February.

Ainsley Earhardt will be replacing Elisabeth Hasselbeck from 29 February as the new co-host of Fox & Friends on FOX News (StarSat 261).

Elisabeth Hasselbeck left Fox & Friends in December 2015. Fox & Friends is seen in South Africa on weekdays at 13:00.

Ainsley Earhardt joined FOX News in 2007 as a correspondent and has appeared on Fox & Friends First, a lead-in show just before Fox & Friends, since 2012.

"Ainsley's relentless work ethic, congeniality and enthusiasm for connecting with our viewers and staff are extremely refreshing," says Roger Ailes, Fox News chairman in a statement.

"She's a superb team player and an excellent on-air host – we look forward to her joining the show during such a pivotal news year".

"I am grateful for this opportunity and am thrilled to join Steve and Brian on the curvy couch to deliver Americans their morning news, says Ainsley Earhardt in the statement.
