Lebanese female TV anchor Rima Karaki shuts down rude Islamist scholar trash talker who said its 'beneath' him to talk to her.

Worldwide praise has been flooding in for the Lebanese female TV anchor Rima Karaki who stood her ground her and showed a rude and sexist Islamist scholar who's really the boss by cutting him off after he refused to answer her questions and said that its "beneath me to be interviewed by you".

The already widely-respected and now lauded Rima Karaki interviewed the Islamist Hani Al-Sebai'i over the weekend on Lebanon's Al Jadeed TV channel on the weekend of International Women's Day when the rude scholar started to belittle and disrepect her when he didn't like her questions.

A video of the live interview went viral and has now been watched more than 2,3 million times on YouTube.

"Listen, don't cut me off. I will answer as I please," said Hani Al-Sebai'i when he became upset with Rima Karaki.

"In this studio, I run the show," said Rima Karaki, which promoted Hani Al-Sebai'i to raise his voice and tell the woman: "Shut up so I can talk. It's beneath me to be interviewed by you. You are a woman who ..."

She interrupted him, lifting her hand up in the "stop" sign, saying "How can a respected sheik like yourself tell a TV host to shut up? Either there is mutual respect or the conversation is over."

Hani Al-Sebai'i was then abruptly cut off and the interview ended.
