Die Nataniël Tafel back on kykNET for a 4th season of 13 episodes filled with plates, a brother, cheeses, Eastern sweets - and even a butler.

Successful Afrikaans food show Die Nataniël Tafel with Nataniël is back on kykNET (DStv 144) on Tuesdays at 19:30 for 13 episodes and the Afrikaans TV channel on MultiChoice's DStv satellite pay-TV platform is confirming that there will be a 5th season as well.

The funny tastemaker is once again showcasing his humour, food styling and skills behind the cooking pots, sharing personal anecdotes, hosting and food preparation tips as well as mouth-watering recipes. Of course a glass of wine is never far away.

The 4th season's 13 episodes of Die Nataniël Tafel looks at crumbs and has a real-life butler joins him on set to talk about the timeless techniques of proper table setting.

The sinful American hotdog gets an episode of its own, as does wraps. Foodie Topsi Venter visits, and dishes from the East are prepared while chef Rachel Botes presents irresistible sweets.

Pastries and beautiful plates get an episode each and episode 9 will be devoted to inside picnics and food that can be enjoyed in front of a fireplace,  in the kitchen or on a sun-kissed stoep.

Frozen food and ingredients aren't always tasteless, colourless or without nutritional value. Nataniël brings out some ingredients that no freezer should be without.

"Magic ingredients" are cheeses, fresh vegetables, cold meats, fruit, good wine and chocolate - the things you can simply serve when people suddenly show up for a visit.

Nataniël brother Erik visits from France and together they prepare delicious dishes without panis or stress in episode 12 of  Die Nataniël Tafel. The final episode of the 4th season will look at salads.
