A 4th CSI forensic drama series is on its way, CSI: Cyber with Patricia Arquette as Avery Ryan, a special agent in charge at the cyber crime division of the FBI.
CSI: Cyber will be darker than the other three CSI series and will start towards the end of the year in the United States.
M-Net which has been showing CSI as well as its spin-offs CSI: Miami and CSI: New York will likely bring CSI: Cyber to South African viewers.
CSI: Cyber is inspired by producer Mary Aiken's previous work as a "cyber psychologist". Mary Aiken will also be the executive producer of the new CSI: Cyber.
