Vikings, the excellent historical drama which was shown on History in the United States, received a starting date and a TV channel on MultiChoice's DStv - Vikings' first season will now start in South Africa on M-Net Series Showcase (DStv 113) on Thursday 13 March at 22:00.
TV with Thinus scooped the news at the beginning of January this year that M-Net has Vikings, although a specific M-Net channel still wasn't known.
Now it will be M-Net Series Showcase, meaning that South African viewers will be able to watch Vikings, produced by MGM Television, in high definition (HD) in South Africa.
History (DStv 186) isn't a high-def channel and didn't want to bring Vikings to viewers in South Africa and Africa itself.
