SABC News reporters arrested and detained in Zimbabwe for daring to film video footage of Freedom Square in Harare.

SABC News reporters were arrested and detained in Harare, Zimbabwe after they filmed video footage of Freedom Square in struggling African nation.

SABC journalists Shingi Nyoka and cameraman Ephert Musekiwa were arrested, detained and later released. They were arrested because they were filming in public, a public space, but one which the Zimbabwe police says is "not a protected area". They were later released without being changed.

Meanwhile the Zimbabwe police also launched a manhunt for two British journalists Jerome Starkey and Jan Raath.
