Iman Rappetti is gone from her usual perch at Hype Park as the co-anchor of NewsNight next to Jeremy Maggs on the eNCA (DStv 403) - but she will be back from mid-April.
Rumours started swirling about Iman Rappetti's absence - some wondered whether it was the end of the "experiment" of the co-anchoring duo and whether there's been some kind of a falling out - the fact is that their on-screen chemistry is great and viewers like the interaction between them when they are doing NewsNight together.
Iman Rappetti is actually not in South Africa which is the reason for her NewsNight (or other daypart) absence on the eNCA - she's actually studying abroad.
"Iman Rappetti is on an eNCA-sponsored fellowship to Duke University in North Carolina, USA," the eNCA tells me.
"She will be part of a programme involving other international journalists at the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University."
"Iman will be back at work and on-air at eNCA in the week op 15 April," says the eNCA.
