kykNET cancels gossip show Tonge Los as kykNET, producer and MultiChoice are sued for R2 million.

kykNET (DStv 111) isn't talking, but the M-Net produced channel and MultiChoice, as well as the producer Christo Gerlach who produced the gossip show Tonge Los (Loose Tongues) are reportedly being sued for R2 million by the film producer FC Hamman and his wife Annie.

Meanwhile kykNET has canned Tonge Los, a tawdry-type show which has seen a revolving door of presenters in the past and which has generated some complaints previously. It isn't clear whether the court case, to be heard in the South Gauteng High court on 12 July is the cause of the show's permanent cancellation.

Karen Meiring, kykNET's channel head didn't respond to a media enquiry made Monday about why Tonge Los got cancelled or the court case.

It's understood that FC Hamman decided to take legal action after Tonge Los allegedly said that Annie Hamman runs a pornographic website. The couple is busy producing a Christian film entitled Angus Buchan's Ordinary People. The couple reportedly said they ''want to clear their name''.
