Protesters are being asked to wear read and black and bring their creative placards for the massive public protest that South Africa's TV industry is planning at the SABC's Auckland Park headquarters for this coming Thursday, 24 November in a repeat of the major public picketing that engulfed the broadcaster in 2009.

The Support Public Broadcasting Coalition (SOS) that has now called on South Africa's parliament to immediately remove the SABC chairperson dr Ben Ngubane after the SOS earlier this month called on dr Ben Ngubane to immediately step down and resign, is now asking South Africa's TV industry to please wear red and black next Thursday when protesters plan to descend on the SABC.

''Bring your placard and wear red and black,'' asks the Support Public Broadcasting Coalition (SOS) in a just issued note to South Africa's TV industry.

''We need a new era of transparent financial accountability and good corporate governance [at the SABC],'' says the SOS.
