BREAKING. SABC snaps up new sitcom Happily Divorced with Fran Drescher. Will it go to SABC2 or SABC3?

Fran Drescher is returning to South African television. The SABC just snapped up the broadcasting rights to her new sitcom Happily Divorced - the question now is just whether the South African public broadcaster will asign Happily Divorced to SABC2 or to SABC3.

Happily Divorced which has been renewed for a second season in America was sold by Endemol Worldwide Distribution to the SABC. In this new sitcom of which the first season has 10 episodes, Fran Drescher plays a Los Angeles florist. Suddenly her husband tells her he's gay and they get divorced. They're still on good terms but have to live together because of the state of the American economy and both start dating. The story is loosely based on Fran Drescher's real life.

The deal has just been announced in Cannes and now the big question is: will Happily Divorced go to SABC2 or SABC3?
SABC2 (formerly TV1) was the home of The Nanny for that show's entire run which made Fran Drescher a household name in South Africa. The star, and the SABC, will have a built-in audience for the show on SABC2 who loved The Nanny.

Yet, the show now is a much better fit with SABC3 where it will thematically play better given previous similar sitcoms that's been on the commercial channel of the SABC like 'Til Death, The New Adventures of Old Christine, Accidentally on Purpose and Worst Week.
