The minutes of the hastly convened SABC board meeting on 29 June 2011 - a copy of which TV with Thinus has - is filled with this:

The SABC board member Peter Harris who resigned as SABC board member days after this meeting held at the boardroom in the 28th floor of the SABC's Auckland Park headquarters officially complained that for a general meeting to be called so hastily on one day's notice ''in a multi billion rand company was poor corporate governance''.

In the meeting where the minister of communications, Roy Padayachie was present, another SABC board member Prof Pippa Green expressed concern that the amendments that were suddenly being proposed to the SABC's memorandum of incorporation ''were being proposed to address the current impasse in respect of an acting group CEO from 1 July 2011 and were not in the long term interests'' of the SABC in her view.
