''Step out!'' How contestants on e.tv's new reality dance show Step Up Or Step Out will get eliminated ... or get put through by the judges.
TV with Thinus can exclusively reveal how contestants in e.tv's new (and believe me, it's going to be great!) dance reality show Step Up Or Step Out will hear that they've been eliminated or that they're going through to the next round.
Don't read further if you don't want it spoiled and rather want to see it when the first episode of Step Up Or Step Out starts on e.tv on Sunday 8 May at 18:05 (with a behind-the-scenes second weekly episode starting Tuesday 10 May at 20:30).
Here goes. I think the ''goodbye'' or ''keeper'' language in Step Up or Step Out is incredibly inventive, original, funny and in a Da Vinci Code way actually right in front of our eyes. It works perfectly. Once a dance group gets their music cut (for good or bad reasons) and stops their routine, nervous faces look at the judges. And then the fun language. Every reality show keeping or cutting contestants needs a dump or trump saying and the Step Up or Step Out ones are spot-on wonderful and made me smile the first time I heard it. It's just terrific.
When a group's told they're not good enough one of the judges like hip hop artist Emile Jansen will say... ''I'm sorry. You're not good enough. Next time if you audition again, try and put yourself together as a team. Sorry but ... Step out.''
When a group in Step Up Or Step Out is good enough to go through to the next round, they might still get some critique first - or just praise. ''The sequence was tight. There's energy but you need to work as a team. It's a ... Step up!''
