SPOT THE DIFFERENCES. The new M-Net Stars logo maintains but slightly refines its sapphire blue ''M'' ribbon icon.

I can give you the first look at the high resolution still image of the official new channel logo for the M-Net Stars (DStv 105) channel on DStv that will come into use officially on 1 April 2011.
No other M-Net supplied channel to MultiChoice' DStv has gone through so many on-air logo changes as M-Net Stars has over the past months. This new logo will be the 5th new on-air adaptation for M-Net Stars since the middle of last year when the logo started cycling through various new permutations.

Compared to the current (and from April the old) M-Net Stars logo below, the new one above which will be used from 1 April will not be changing a lot, but it does show some refinement. As I broke the news RIGHT here last year already, M-Net has been working at creating a more uniformed and more easily identifiable look and channel logos for all of the various M-Net supplied channels to DStv.

The new M-Net Stars logo has a more thicker, pronounced and curvier ''M'' brand icon in front similar to M-Net Series (DStv 110) and M-Net Action (DStv 106). It emphasizes that this is first and foremost an M-Net channel. The ''M'' keeps its rich sapphire blue colour but it becomes more opaque. The rest of the lettering only really changes in its metallic sheen appearance in terms of the grey scale that's lightened slightly. The 3D tonality is also a bit less and more understated if you compare the ''a'' and the ''s'' - clearly the focus should be on the beautiful blue ''M'' at the beginning.
