You're reading it here first.

I can be first to tattle that M-Net is planning to redefine what it interprets to be primetime television in South Africa with a newly aligned ''primetime block'' that will be kicking in from 1 April 2011 on the M-Net channel (DStv 101) that will now stretch from 19:30 to 22:30.

''The M-Net audience is changing,'' says Lani Lombard, M-Net's communications manager regarding M-Net's shift to what and how it now perceives primetime television viewing in South Africa to be. '' The Wild will be the M-Net channel's big new show which will be going out daily at 18:00. Some blockbuster reality shows will be added to the M-Net channel's schedule at 18:30. Then the M-Net primetime block will be extended from April to 22:30. It will now be from 19:30 and stretch to 22:30 daily.''
