''Say it like ya mean it! Wha-wha!'' I can now tell you that The Wendy Williams Show, weeknights at 23:00 on BET (TopTV 190) and currently in holiday repeats will return this coming Monday, 10 January with brand-new episodes.
Viewers might not know or realize it, but unlike every single other American talk show seen in South Africa on any other channel, The Wendy Williams Show on BET is the only talk show where South African viewers get to see the exact episode going out on the exact same day in America. Since talk show host Wendy Williams discuss current pop culture events, celebrities and breaking news in the world of entertainment in her daily ''hot topics'' segments, none of what she's talking about is dated, old or irrelevant.
Since BET International - which is not a news channel but a general entertainment channel - is proving that its not just possible to have same day-programming with international rights clearances but in fact does so daily - all of those other TV channels with all of those months old international talk and current affairs shows - need to up their game, stop hiding behind lame impossibility excuses, and work harder at getting TV content for viewers quicker. Obviously its do-able. And it laughable watching her talking about having watched specific recent episodes of Oprah, Ellen, Dr Phil and other American TV shows that South African viewers won't see here for months.
With this week's daily repeat episodes all exactly the same as in America, this coming Monday Wendy Williams first guests for her first new episode will be Tia Mowry and Wendy Raquel.
