BREAKING. SABC3 gets ''flooded'': broadcaster secures the rights for new mini-series Flood in September.

You're reading it here first.

I've learned that SABC3 has secured the broadcasting rights to the mini-series Flood which will debut on SABC3 on Sunday, September 26 at 19:30 and that was shot on location in London and right here in South Africa.

In this mini-series with Robert Carlyle based on the novel by Richard Doyle, a devastating flood strikes London when the Thames Barrier is overwhelmed by a huge surge of water. A storm surge travels between the United Kingdom and mainland Europe, raising sea levels and coinciding with the spring tide, heading for London.

Filming for Flood took place in Cape Town with locations in the city doubling for Whitehall, the Scottish coastline, the London Underground system as well as the Thames Barrier.
