BREAKING. M-Net Series launching a new local reality dating series entitled Rivals in Romance looking for singles who are ''hungry for love''.

M-Net Series (DStv 110) just announced that the channel will produce its own local reality dating series titled Rivals in Romance, although it will be less crass that sister M-Net channel Vuzu's (DStv 123) controversial Vixens.

Rivals in Romance, a new 13 part production by Elemental Productions will now be looking for beautiful singles for the new dating show who will all compete to ''wipe away the competition''. ''Eligible bachelors who are ready to flaunt'' as well as ''single ladies who know how to bedazzle'' can enter before the end of August by visiting the channel's website and completing the entry form which you can also find by clicking RIGHT HERE. Contestants need to be older than 21.

''We're looking for smart, sophisticated, outgoing people who are hungry for love and willing to take risks in pursuit of a long-term relationship,'' says Shaamila FataarRivals in Romance executive producer. ''Dontt be concerned that you'll share a house with questionable characters. In this show, there is no space for sleaze-balls, odd-balls, desperadoes and hussies.'' In Rivals in Romance female contestants will need to secure dates to avoid elimination from week to week.

''Rivals in Romance is M-Net Series' first original reality show format and we have spent many months developing the concept,'' says M-Net Series channel head Khosi Khanyile.
