Tiger on TV: This is where South Africans can watch Tiger Woods say sorry.
You're reading it here first.
Here's a rundown of where you will be able to watch golfer Tiger Woods say sorry today, Friday 19 February at 18:00 South African time:
SuperSport Blitz (DStv 200) will carry Tiger Woods' statement (he won't be taking questions) LIVE, from the moment it happens, from 18:00 this evening. SuperSport Blitz intends to stay with this news story for the full hour between 18:00 and 19:00.
ESPN (DStv 230) tell me the sports channel will also be carrying Tiger Wood's speech. SportCenter will be on from 17:00 already, but SportCenter will cross over to Florida at 18:00 and carry the speech LIVE and stay with the story until at least 19:00.
CNN International (DStv 401) tell me the international news channel is definitely tracking Tiger. CNN International will cover the LIVE press statement from 18:00 this evening, which will be followed by analysis right after.
The eNews Channel (DStv 403) informed me that South Africa's only independent 24 hour news channel will definitely cross-over to show Tiger Woods' statement from 18:00 this evening. ''We would most probably take it LIVE on the eNews Channel, unless there's major breaking news on another front. The length of the broadcast would depend on the duration of the presser,'' the eNews Channel tells me.
