BREAKING. Trevor Noah soon to be M-Net's new talk show star.

You're reading it here first.

Local comedian Trevor Noah is set to become South Africa's latest talk show star with his own local talk show on M-Net later this year.

Multiple sources have confirmed to me that the very funny local comedian is in advanced talks with the pay channel for a talk show to debut sometime around July on M-Net.

The former The Real Goboza talk show host on SABC1 who happened to be one of the first studio guests on The Gareth Cliff Show last year and totally stole the show, will most likely get his own M-Net show soon. Several sources told me that a contract has not been signed, ''but that it's definitely happening''. Another one said ''M-Net is super excited for the talk show charisma that Trevor Noah would bring''.

A third source close to camp Trevor Noah that I spoke to yesterday, also confirmed the news of The Trevor Noah Show for M-Net being in the works. ''It's very much on the cards. It will definitely be a comedy show. In two weeks time we will know more, but at the moment I can't tell you more.''
