Here is what you need to know for Class Act, the new reality show that will start later this year on SABC1.

In the reality show, viewers will get to see aspiring actors being put through their paces, with viewers and the judges voting one out per week over the course of 13 weeks. The winner will get a jump start to a career in the TV and film industry. Contestants need to be a positive role model according to the producers ''in front of, and behind the screem''.

Any aspiring Leading man, older than 18 can enter who is a South African citizen and have NOT had a leading role in a film or TV production yet. For the audition process (check all the dates and details below), you need to prepare a one-minute scene to impress the judges. You can use own script.

What you’ll need is a completed entry form (forms will be available at audition venues), a copy of your SA ID and the prepared scene of maximum 1 minute duration to act out.

Durban Auditions: Saturday, 30 January
Auditions start at 09:00 and the producers will see a maximum of 1 000 people only. First come, first served.
Venue: Durban Manor, 93-96 Margaret Mncadi Ave (old Victoria Embankment)

Cape Town Auditions: Saturday, 6 February
Auditions start at 09:00 and the producers will see a maximum of 1 000 people only. First come, first served.
Venue: Cape Island Studios (Panalux), Unit D2 Sanlam Business Park, Koeberg Road (Just off the M5) in Milnerton

Pretoria Auditions: Saturday, 13 February
Auditions start at 09:00 and the producers will see a maximum of 1 000 people only. First come, first served.
Venue: Museum of Arts and Culture (The Old Mint), Visage Street in the Pretoria CBD.

Johannesburg Auditions: Saturday, 20 February
Auditions start at 09:00 and the producers will see a maximum of 1 000 people only. First come, first served.
Venue: Atlas Studios, 33 Frost Avenue (cnr Owl Street) in Milpark.
