Larry Wilmore to replace Stephen Colbert in a new show, The Minority Report, on Comedy Central; unclear if Comedy Central Africa will pick it up.

Larry Wilmore is set to replace the departing Stephen Colbert and The Colbert Report on Comedy Central (DStv 122) from January 2015 with his own new half hour show, entitled The Minority Report.

It unclear unclear whether Viacom International Media Networks Africa (VIMN Africa) will pick up The Minority Report for Comedy Central Africa on MultiChoice's DStv satellite pay-TV platform.

Larry Wilmore has played the "senior black correspondent" of The Colbert Report's sister show, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Comedy Central since 2006.

Just like The Colbert Report was and The Daily Show is, The Minority Report will be produced by Jon Stewart and his Busboy Productions. Jon Stewart and Larry Wilmore will both be executive producers of The Minority Report.

"I'm beyond excited to have this chance to continue my relationships with Comedy Central and the brilliant Jon Stewart," says Larry Wilmore in a statement.
