The Disney Channel renews Jessie for a 4th season to start in 2015; production set to start in August.

The Disney Channel (DStv 303) has renewed Jessie for a 4th season which will start on the channel in 2015.

Jessie, produced by It's a Laugh Productions, stars Debby Ryan, Kevin Chamberlin, Peyton List, Karan Brar, Cameron Boyce and Skai Jackson.

Production on the new 4th season of Jessie will start in August in America and has been created by Pamela Eells O'Connell who is the executive producer.

"Jessie is a fan favorite for kids and families all around the world," says Adam Bonnett, the executive vice president for original programming at Disney Channels Worldwide.

"Pam Eells and the entire team behind Jessie have made this television family a huge global hit. Our audience gets to continue the journey with these characters, watching the Ross kids grow up with Jessie guiding the way for them".

Jessie on The Disney Channel (DStv 303) with Debby Ryan has been renewed for a third season with production which will start in July in America.

The sitcom about a babysitter looking after the Ross' family in New York and the various adopted kids together with a butler and her boyfriend, the building's doorman remains the number one show in its timeslot on The Disney Channel in America.

"Our viewers deeply connect with this cast of characters, and the upcoming season will focus on the Ross kids beginning to navigate young adulthood while challenging their favourite nanny with new and entertaining situations," says Adam Bonnet, the senior vice president for original programming for Disney Channels Worldwide.

Programming note: The Disney Channel's brand-new sitcom, Jessie, starts tomorrow at 9:10 on Saturdays.

The Disney Channel (DStv 303) in South Africa starts the brand-new sitcom Jessie tomorrow (Saturday 10 March) at 09:10.

If you've ever seen and loved The Nanny, Mr Belvedere, Alf, Mork and Mindy, Who's the Boss? or Mary Poppins you'll love this new TV show about a nanny (a teen this time, played by Debby Ryan) who goes to a wealthy family in New York to look after a bunch of kids.

Debby Ryan (18) is known for her roles in The Suite Life on Deck and 16 Wishes and in this new sitcom which was inspired by ... Brangelina!

The dad Morgan is a famous movie producer mogul, the mom Christina is a fashionista and a former supermodel and besides their own brood they've adopted kids from around the world - Emma,Ravi, Luke and Zuri. Of course Debbie has to try and maintain control in the New York penthouse apartment where there's also a butler called Bertram (not so friendly) as well as a 20 year old doorman named Tony (friendly).

Jessie was created by Pamela Eells O'Connell who's also the executive producer and the show is from Laugh Productions Inc.
