BREAKING. It's Over for Omusic as MultiChoice shutters its online music store at the end of this month.
Following Ogames out the door as an online failure is Omusic - MultiChoice's online music shop which DStv Online is closing down at the end of this month with money unclaimed being given to charity.
MultiChoice and DStv Online haven't made an official statement but the omusic website says it will be ''closing shop on March 30''. Omusic is apparently no longer in line with MultiChoice's core business strategy of being a video content provider.
Users with more than 50c left in their online accounts will have it repayed into their bank accounts. The accounts with less than 50c will have the combined amount from all of those accounts donated to the Salvation Army when the site shuts down at the end of the month and MultiChoice ends its current and future plans for any online music ventures.

U2's Friday concert in Cape Town will be streamed live for South Africa and into Africa on DStv's website.
The sound of rock band U2's Cape Town concert this Friday 18 February will be streamed live on MultiChoice's DStv.com website for free in South Africa and throughout Africa.
''We are excited to be making the future happen right now on dstv.com with the first ever live streaming of a U2 concert in Africa,'' says John Kotsaftis, DStv Online CEO. ''We are very proud and excited to be working with Universal Music and U2 on this initiative and this is just one of many innovations we have lined up for our online audience in 2011.''
The audio stream on dstv.com will be streamed in South Africa as well as several African countries as well as places like Madagascar and Mauritius. DStv says the webcast is flash-based and therefore will not work on devices not supporting that technology. The stream will be available www.dstv.com/U2.
