Khaya Mthethwa winning Idols is significant since it marks the second win for a contestant from Durban (following Jason Hartman) (a Port Elizabeth contestant is still to win) and also the first black male winner for the reality show on M-Net which has become a co-production the last two seasons with the Mzansi Magic channel.
I flew to Johannesburg this afternoon and attended the live finale and will be at M-Net's post show press conference where I'll ask questions; check back later for more Idols news.
