As part of Paramount Global's massive ongoing cost-cutting, it is shutting down its Paramount Television Studios at the same time as getting rid of thousands more workers.
Paramount Television Studios will shut down completely by the end of this week and Paramount Television Studios president Nicole Clemens has lost her job.
Existing Paramount Television Studios projects will move to CBS Studios.
TV series moving as Paramount TV Studios projects to become CBS Studios projects include Reacher done for Amazon Prime Video and the upcoming series Cross also done for Amazon Prime Video, as well as Time Bandits done for Apple TV+ and the upcoming Before and Murderbot also for Apple TV+.
The struggling Paramount Global is shuttering Paramount Television Studios as part of dramatic cost-cutting before its merger with Skydance, with Paramount getting rid of 15% of its entire American workforce. It's unclear how many international Paramount jobs will be lost.
"Paramount Global has made the difficult decision to close Paramount Television Studios as part of the company's broader restructuring plans," Nicole Clemens wrote to staff in an internal email on Tuesday night.
"This has been a challenging and transformative time for the entire industry, and sadly, our studio is not immune. Over the past 11 years, Paramount TV Studios has weathered seemingly insurmountable obstacles through a combination of strength, determination, and unwavering commitment."
"We met these challenges with incredible resilience, creativity, and passion for what we do, and I could not be prouder of our team."
"Although Paramount Television Studios is ending, our ethos will live on in shows that will continue to be enjoyed by global audiences for years to come."
